Cranberry Lake Resort & Campground (previously Wilderness Way) is a resort and campground near Gordon, Wisconsin, on the shores of Cranberry Lake. Cranberry Lake is part of the larger and more well-known Minong Flowage, and it is surrounded by recreational lake watersports that include boating, fishing, water skiing, and paddleboarding, as well as giving access to four bars and restaurants that can be reached by boat.
They also have an outstanding ATV trail system right outside their door, covering hundreds of miles from Trail 3 to Trail 41. Prior to its rebranding, Wilderness Way was recognized in the area as an LGBTQ+ only resort and campsite, which severely limited the client base for the current owners. Their goal was to rename the resort to reflect its new internal identity and create a welcoming atmosphere of inclusion for all, not just the LGBTQ+ community.
Cranberry Lake Resort's new leadership contacted us at Peak Design Media and expressed interest in working with us to create a new logo that would better connect their rebranding with the renovated amenities, cabins, and sites to better display the vacation resort they are seeking to be recognized for.
Our goal as partners was to build a brand identity that highlights those advantages while also providing visitors with rapid access to information about the new campground, all while maintaining a visually appealing, outdoor feel.
The creation of a logo that defines Cranberry Lake as an outdoor community was the first stage in the rebranding process, and a great starting point in a process that is continuing on as we speak.
